The Big List

Allegorical- having hidden spiritual meaning that transcends the literal sense of a sacred text.

Ambition - a: an ardent desire for rank, fame, or power b: desire to achieve a particular end.

Anger - a strong feeling of displeasure and usu. of antagonism.

Arrogance - a feeling or an impression of superiority manifested in an overbearing manner or presumptuous claims.

Assassination - to injure or destroy unexpectedly and treacherously

Belief - a: a state or habit of mind in which trust or confidence is placed in some person or thing. b: conviction of the truth of some statement or the reality of some being or phenomenon esp. when based on examination of evidence.

Betrayal - a: to disclose in violation of confidence b: to reveal unintentionally c: to fail or desert esp. in time of need.

Catalyst - a substance (as an enzyme) that enables a chemical reaction to proceed at a usu. faster rate or under different conditions (as at a lower temperature) than otherwise possible.

Category - any of several fundamental and distinct classes to which entities or concepts belong.

Chaos - a:  a often capitalized: a state of things in which chance is supreme; especially: the confused unorganized state of primordial matter before the creation of distinct forms b: the inherent unpredictability in the behavior of a natural system (as the atmosphere, boiling water, or the beating heart)

Conceited - having an excessively high opinion of oneself

Compromise - settlement of differences by arbitration or by consent reached by mutual concessions

Connection - having the parts or elements logically linked together <presented a thoroughly ~ view of the problem>

Consequence - something produced by a cause or necessarily following from a set of conditions

Cruelty - inhuman treatment

Danger - exposure or liability to injury, pain, harm, or loss <a place where children could play without ~>

Deceit - having a tendency or disposition to deceive/ not honest

Depiction - to represent by or as if by a picture

Direction - the line or course on which something is moving or is aimed to move or along which something is pointing or facing

Disgrace - archaic : to humiliate by a superior showing

Disunite - divide or to separate

Distraction - he act of distracting or the state of being distracted; especially: mental confusion

Dream - a visionary creation of the imagination b: a state of mind marked by abstraction or release from reality

Entertainment - something diverting or engaging

Evidence - one who bears witness; especially : one who voluntarily confesses a crime and testifies for the prosecution against his accomplices

Expression - a mode, means, or use of significant representation or symbolism; especially: felicitous or vivid indication or depiction of mood or sentiment <read the poem with ~>

Faith - something that is believed esp. with strong conviction; especially: a system of religious beliefs

Falsity - the quality or state of being false

Favor - friendly regard shown toward another esp. by a superior

Gullible - easily duped or cheated

Hierarchy - he classification of a group of people according to ability or to economic, social, or professional standing; also: the group so classified
